Activity of the Fishing Club
The principal activity of the Fishing Club Mozirje is maintaining, monitoring and promoting the development of populations of indigenous fish species that inhabit the waters with which we are managing. We work towards improving the ecological conditions for fish populations. We strive to prevent pollution of water, we regularly clean banks of our rivers and lakes. In our own fishfarm we raise fish for restocking fishing grounds. In the spirit of a respectful attitude towards nature and life in it we educate young anglers. We actively participate at national and international competitions. We promote fishing tourism in our rivers and lakes.
Fishing in the districts of the Fishing Club Mozirje
Rivers Dreta and Savinja and offers a successful fishing. How successful you are at fishing depends on various factors, and that is the main attraction of fishing.

Stocking in fishing grounds
Intensive stocking in our waters began in 1961. Since then we regularly stock in breeding streams, fishing grounds and in the lake Gaj. Especially intensive stocking were undertaken in the first years after the heavy floods of 1990. In the fishing grounds we stock our own fish bred in breeding streams, fishfarm Gaj and breeding lake Prihova. In the last five years we have stocked the following quantity of fish.
